3DNY: Fall Friday Oct 25, 2024 - Full 3D SBS. Autumn in New York! Captured with iPhone 6s and moondog labs anamorphic lenses. Technical notes: Atomos UltraSync Blue (Bluetooth, time code sync) using the Mavis Pro Camera app. (99% of the clips were perfectly synced , except one clip I had to manually adjust one frame). An ND filter would help to smooth some of the judder inherent in 24p and the higher shutter speed. (24fps isn't great for cars moving though--it ends up looking choppy) Other than that, I'm extremely pleased with this new setup and workflow. Fall is my favorite season in NYC. (Yes a few shots at the end have crooked horizons, I blame that on a bad bubble level on my phone clamp.)
