How to Play Two Videos Simultaneously in VLC Media Player

There might arise a need when we have to open two videos side by side using VLC Media Player. We might have to open two videos simultaneously to compare them. Or, we might need a mashup where we use the audio from one video and the visuals from the other one. With the modern version of the VLC, it can natively open and synchronously play two media files.
Open VLC player.
Click on Tools at the top menu bar. Choose Preferences from the list. A new window will open.
Go to Interface. Look for Playlist and Instances block. Go to Use only one instance when started from file manager option. Uncheck it. Click on Save. Restart the app. You can open two videos at the same time.
