So - for some reason - I decided to dive into the very first train simulator game I ever bought. This is Trainz Murchison 2, which is a fictional layout set in New Zealand. I've had it for just about seven years, and even today I still think it's pretty impressive. If you like this game, please let me know and I'll record more videos in it.
This layout comprises a multitude of lines, both standard gauge (even though this is meant to be New Zealand) and narrow gauge. The narrow gauge network is a series of logging lines, which we are going to be driving on in this first video. Due to how long it took to complete this mission, I decided to split the video into five parts.
Our mission today is to drive a small 2-6-0 tender engine out of Murchison Mill - just up the coast from Murchison station itself - and drive into the mountains. Once we arrive at a crossing loop in the centre of the bush, we then have to take four of our skeleton cars to three different logging camps.
In Part 1 of this video, we drive out from Murchison Mill and head along the coast. Then we climb into the mountains. Part 1 ends with the train arriving at a crossing loop in the bush. This loop is the centre of operations for the next three parts.
