An Integration Strategy should define all aspects of your integration landscape. This includes all responsibilities which could be functional, technical or governance related like documentation and security requirements. It should define your operational concept so there is a person responsible for monitoring troubleshooting and incident handling. It should lay out your general system Architecture including external connections and give you a decision tree establishing which Integration approach, which middleware in your landscape, which technology, and which message formats or integration patterns you should use.
