ANU is my ongoing Electronic Music creation. Raven is a collection of tracks aimed at high energy mid-tempo bass with heavy-hitting guitar-sounding synth stabs and leads.

ORIGINS:
Anu was the name of an ancient Sumerian sky god or could be simply translated as “sky.” It was also a word used for “mercy” in Nigerian. This ongoing music project takes much inspiration from the planets, outer space, stars, and the study of the cosmos. I began trying to express the visuals I saw in documentaries and telescope photography in a musical medium that intends to capture a small part of the overwhelming flood of emotions that build as I contemplate the vastness, beauty, closeness, and connectedness of all life we can perceive.

Musically, Anu combines retro-sounding synth voices with updated, custom 808 and 707 drums and a mixture of structured song and dance music arrangements. Anu is intended to be a collection of musical themes that are interesting, entrancing, and enjoyable to listen to all on their own while also being usable as backing tracks for film, tv, or video game storytelling.
