DanDoesData Excess Death #4: Still terrible
In addition to some updated data, we actually compute the excess death rate itself (not just plot it). Really, I should have plotted how many standard deviations above the mean we were. There's always next week.
Arizona and a few other states are as bad as ever and only getting worse by these metrics. Of course, they lag behind case counts by a few weeks. If we believe the recent decrease in that department, perhaps deaths will come down as well. But only time will reveal. -- Watch live at / vanboxel
