How to use Save as New feature in YouTube Studio Video Editor

You can now Save as New from the Studio YouTube Video Editor (as of Oct 2019). This is super useful if a:
raw clip needs trimming in a few places or a
long edited video may need a shorter clip saved or a
livestream needs extracting ie a band’s set

There is a two step process to make this edit:
Step 1: Upload your raw unedited video clip to youtube, maybe as private.
Ste 2: visit https://studio.youtube.com/ om desktop, then select the video, then click Editor on the left. You will then be able to trim, split, preview then Save as New (if desired). Good Luck ..
