The Google Photos App is Excellent at organising your photos using a Search Your Map feature. This video will look in detail at: Map View and Grid, Heatmap and Timeline.

Look for the black connected dots that indicate photos from the same day. Finally, there is a View Entire Path feature, tat one tapped zooms all photos to the day and photos in question.

Please note, you MUST have location turned ON for your photos to get the most out of this feature. ALL photos I take are geo-tagged by the camera phone app or the Open Camera App I use. For me especially helpful as I take many photos in the forest which will be impossible to find one tree in woodland (again).
