The Sisters of Mercy - Lucretia My Reflection - Live
"Lucretia My Reflection" was released as the third and final single from the Sisters of Mercy's second studio album, titled "Floodland", in June 1988. It was written by Andrew Eldritch for bassist Patricia Morrison, who, he said, "always strikes me as a Lucrezia [Borgia]-type person".
Aside from the reference to Lucrezia Borgia, Lucretia was a woman whose rape triggered the collapse of the Roman kingdom.
The song peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart.
