This puppy rescued by Thai Street Paws Rescue:
"A few days ago, My poor street puppy Fraser, was hit by a car. I found him late this afternoon hiding under a security hut.
As I tried to get him out from under the hut, he screamed in pain, but I had to get him in the car and to the vet. I quickly drove to the vet.
Fraser was sedated to have xrays taken. It wasn’t exactly the news I wanted to hear, L5 spinal fracture and dislocation. He is in surgery now and has a 50 50 chance of walking again.
Dr Kai finished Fraser’s surgery. The surgery went well and Dr Kai is very happy with the results.
The best news is, Dr Kai is pretty sure Fraser will walk again. When fractures like this happen, there is a crucial time frame for surgery to be successful.
His neuro signs are great today, he feels pain and moves his legs when his toes are pinched.
Yesterday, Dr Kai and myself were surprised when this precious boy was able to stand up and walk. We couldn’t believe our eyes. Usually it would be around 2 weeks before this was possible. I can’t tell you how happy we were to see this.
Today, Fraser came back to our sanctuary for his recovery. We will ensure he gets what he needs to successfully heal and be running around like a puppy again. Please help and prayers for him."
