Alex O'connor Debunked: The Problem of Suffering Explained
Debunking Alex O'Connor is not easy, but this is a common man's best effort on the topic: "The Problem of Evil".
Addendum: Ok, ok...so Firstly, I want to thank so many of you for watching and engaging with me in the comments. I am seeing many of the same misunderstandings in the comments so I thought I might address them here, because of my failure to make it clear during the video.
There are a couple things that need to be remembered while watching this:
1) Alex O'Connor is the one making the affirmative claim. It is not on me to substantiate God's existance or any other facet of philosophy...the ONLY thing I need to address is the failed logic in Alex's claim.
2) Alex O'Connor is making what's known as an "internal critique"...sort of (he at least begins that way). What this means is that as PART of his critique, Alex accepts most of the Christian tenets of faith...in order to demonstrate a different conclusion (the conclusion of a God who is not omni-benevolent). So once again, I need not substantiate belief in God, as Alex already accepts this as PART of his critique.
There are other items...but those are the big two...sorry for not stating them clearly in the video! Keep those in mind as you watch! Thank you all again so much for your engagement!
