Working with OBS
setup SWB Audio Capture (SWBAC) as an input source
setup across multiple scenes
Using a "Blank slate" project, and doing it live, warts and all!
In this video Im going to setup SWBAC as a source PER SCENE. I know it can be done globally; but I figure per-scene makes
more sense to most people; since they might not want the SWBAC to be used in every scene.
I have garageband ready, to make some audio we can use during the example.
Play some audio.
Notice: you cannot hear it? nor see it?
That's because iTunes is playing to 'default output'.
To get it to work, I'll use SWB Audio App to make SWBAC the default, and also route it's audio.
You'll hear an echo because its coming out my main speakers.
Lets stop that.
So you can see that two things have to happen:
a) setup OBS with an audio input (getting audio from SWB Audio Capture)
b) getting the audio you want to capture; into the SWB Audio Capture driver.
For more info on WHAT the driver is, see: • What is SWB Audio Capture
Let setup a 2nd scene.
We add it, name it. Notice it has no sources? no audio.
Click to add a source (choose input)
Then select the EXISTING source. You can create multiple if you want; but that could end up getting confusing.
So now you see you could create a scene that didn't have the audio input. That might be useful; depending on what you're trying to present.
Globally:
You can setup an input in preferences, as long as you don't mind it being global across all your scenes.
