Second person to receive a pig heart transplant dies after nearly six weeks
The second person to receive a transplanted heart from a pig has died, nearly six weeks after the highly experimental surgery. Still, doctors hope the surgery will eventually help more than 100,000 people waiting for transplants in the U.S.
