Penetration Test

The penetration test on bitumen is a fundamental method used to determine the consistency of bituminous materials. It measures the depth to which a standard needle penetrates into the bitumen sample under specific conditions of temperature, load, and time. This test helps in classifying bitumen into different grades and is a critical parameter for determining its suitability for various applications, especially in road construction.
