Bonita Records, a London-based music and culture platform highlighting different expressions of Latin American art. Through parties, talks and an independent record label, they have sought to connect the root of Latin American musical traditions with the branches of the diaspora in London, where an emerging identity born from a diverse and complex history of nations and music is coalescing around British Latin culture.

Rather than represent and recreate a static culture, Bonita seeks to find expression for multiplicity, sensitive to the racialised power relations of Black and Indigenous communities within Latin American identity, as well as how they play out in the UK context that many now call home.

Organs and synthesisers meet the folkloric instruments of Ecuador, slide guitars and brass orchestrating some of the finest Pasillos, Cumbias, Salsa, Bombas and more. A heavily underrepresented voice from the South American continent, which has some of the most unique and inspiring musical heritage, we hope to bring some light to Ecuador's beautiful music and people. It is an absolute pleasure for us at Bonita to share these jewels with the world. Chulla Vida! Viva Ecuador!
