The former minister of justice and constitutional affairs, Kahinda Otafiire has appealed for the expansion and decentralisation of the Court of Appeal.
Otafiire who handed over the justice and constitutional affairs docket to professor Ephraim Kamuntu, recommends an increase in the number of the Court of Appeal judges to 25 from the present 15, in order to match and provide capacity for the many cases discharged by the expanded High Court.
The new Justice Minister, Kamuntu has committed to ensuring the rule of law is upheld more so during the tough general elections period
