Emma Weil – head of light, sound and video at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, Sweden - shares her personal journey in the world of entertainment lighting focussing on how she coped with the stress of the job and sharing some tips she learnt along this journey.

Started her career in 1994, Emma has a vast background as a lighting designer, lighting director and programmer for opera, ballet, theatre, live music and world tours, museums and events. She has travelled the world with artists like Damien Rice, Björk, ANOHNI and the Johnsons (former Antony and the Johnsons) and Rufus Wainwright, done 6 Eurovision song contests in different roles (tech, network, operator, ass. LD, viewing room ass.) and many many theatre, ballet and opera shows in Europe.

For the last 10 years her focus has been on organisations, leadership and stage art method development.
