ALL CARBON FIBER McLaren P1
Building on its 50 years of racing history and inspired by the company’s iconic F1, McLaren designed the P1 to be the ultimate hypercar when it was released in 2013. The P1’s aerodynamic design, created by Frank Stephenson, was intended to be both dramatic and purposeful. Making it McLaren’s first hybrid hypercar, the P1 includes an Instant Power Assist System (IPAS), which integrates an electric motor into the car’s powertrain. This example, chassis 168, is unique in that it was the only McLaren P1 to be ordered with visible carbon fiber on all body panels from the McLaren Production Centre.
