Derivative is the slope of a function.It is useful in both theoretical and practical applications. For example,in a velocity-time graph,the derivative is the acceleration.In daily life,these graphs are not a straight line and the calculation become hard.There,derivatives come to help us.
Only with the help of derivatives we can do integrals.Therefore,derivative is a major essense of calculus.It is important that we have to really understand them.

പലസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും derivatives വളരെ ഉപകാരപ്രദമാണ്. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് മാറിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വേഗതയുള്ള ഒരു വസ്തുവിന്റെ acceleration അറിയുവാൻ വേണ്ടി.
ഡെറിവേറ്റീവ് എന്നാൽ ചെരിവ് തന്നെയാണ്. ഒരു വരയുടെ ചരിവ് വിനെ സ്ലോപ് എന്ന് പറയുമ്പോൾ ഒരു പോയിന്റ് ന്റെ ചെരിവ്നെ ഡെറിവേറ്റീവ് എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. പക്ഷേ ശരിക്കും ഒരു ബിന്ദുവിന് ചെരിവ് ഉണ്ടോ? പിന്നെ എങ്ങനെയാണ് നമ്മൾ അത് കണ്ടു പിടിക്കുന്നത്? ഈ വീഡിയോയിൽ അത് കാണാം.
