With each step, I hear the echoes of the legendary Master Roshi: "We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war." Maybe, unconsciously, many of us have become second-degree black belts in stress, releasing unnecessary cortisol at every waking moment. I know I've listened to too many "Bro's" obliterate any play, worshipping the archfiend of unhealthy hustle.

I've anxiously tied myself to the Sweet Muse, only for us to grow bitter towards each other. I've driven through fast-food lanes to save minutes, only to see the cumulative effects months later as the dark window slid closed. I've given up sleep just to make my dedication sound impressive in conversation—all to feel like a game-winning horse.

However, consciously, we can leave our black belts behind and start over. I recall a time when play was the highest priority, and homework always got done. How the sweetest fruits come from seasonal breaks. The food I consumed tasted better when my hands chose it rather than a machine.

As I finally allowed myself to rest and let old ideals be carried away by the soft breeze, the actions felt familiar. I knew I no longer wanted to be a fast horse but a slow Turtle Hermit.
