Hi there! Let me show you how to password protect Microsoft Office Word files.
Open the Word document which you wish to password protect. Click on File menu and select Info
Click on Protect Document and select "Encrypt with Password".
Enter a secure password and make sure you remember it. If you lose or forget this password you cannot recover it.
Re-enter the same password again and click on OK button
Now click on "Save" to make the changes take place.
The next time when you open this file you will be prompted to enter the password.
Enter the password to open the file.
This procedure is only applicable for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.
