WTT (Week 44, 2024) - Porsche 959 Sport at COTA National
When I first drove this car back in 2020, I was a bit disappointed, as the similarly performing Bugatti EB 110 Super Sport seemed to drive much better. And while this car still is rather slippery compared to what I feel it should have, I have been able to separate the two (and the Porsche has a nice feel of power plus cockpit view).
It took three and a half years for this to get a WTT since I won it (and six years since its last WTT!) but it finally does get one, although it's not the best car. But it's not any worse to drive than the Spada, and its grip holds relatively well here, so it wasn't too hard to get a low 1:13 time. This lap felt like it flowed quite smoothly, so I was happy to settle on it. The bottom of C is seven tenths above this lap (1:13.9 or so).
