Once again, the Ukrainian Red Cross, in collaboration with the World Food Program, has delivered food parcels to the residents of Novodmytrivka in the Kherson region. Each set provides rations for 30 days, covering up to 60% of the caloric intake required by an adult. Svitlana, a local resident, emphasizes the significance of this assistance: “It is very hard for us here. None of us would survive on a pension of UAH 2,000 without these products. We are very grateful for your help.”

According to Larysa Marchenko, Head of the Kherson regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross, a notable aspect of the project is its focus on delivering aid to the settlements where shelling is ongoing, roads are blocked, and shops are closed. At the beginning of 2023, the program distributed approximately 1,000 sets per month. Over time, this number has gradually increased, reaching 12,000 sets.
