"The drum rhythms, songs, and dances were born out of the Haitian Revolution when the different tribes from Africa and the Indigenous people of Haiti came together to fight bravely against their their oppressors. We have taken inspiration from these rhythms and are coming together as one to stand up for the things we believe are worth fighting for." - Blanche Brown
