Pluckley is in the Guinness Book of WoRed Records as it is reputed to be the most haunted village in Britain. It is reputed to have 12-13 ghosts....
The Ghosts of Pluckley:
• The spectre of the highwayman hid in a tree at pinnock.
•A phantom coach & horses has been sseen in several locations around the village.
• The Ghosts of a Gypsy woman who drowned in a stream at the pinnock.
• The Miller has been seen at Mill Hill.
• The hanging body of a school master in Dicky Buss's Lane.
• A colonel who hanged himself I'm Park wood.
• A man smothered by a wall of clay who drowned at the brickworks.
• The lady of rose court who is said to have poisoned herself in despair over a love triangle
• The white lady, a young woman apparently buried inside 7 led coffins and an oak sarcophagus who haunts the St Nicholas Church.
• The red lady haunts the church yard of St Nicholas Church, by the unmarked grave of her stillborn son.
• A small dog has also been spotted at St Nicholas Church.
