Paper chromatography is a Chromatography technique, that uses paper for the separation purpose. The paper acts as
as solid supporting phase. The water molecules in the pores of the paper acts as a stationary phase. Mixture of different solvents can be used as a mobile phase. There are different modes in which paper chromatography is carried out, these are ascending paper chromatography, descending paper chromatography, radial paper chromatography and 2D paper chromatography.
