I walk through how to clean data in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. We look at the =CLEAN() and =TRIM() functions available in both programs.
We import data using Excel's built in and robust Importer and Power Query features.
📲And we import data in Google Sheets using the =IMPORTHTML() function.
🖨️I explain what non-printable characters and spaces the built in functions remove, how powerful Excel's data cleaning is out of the gate.
🚿And then we clean a little data from a Zelda: Breath of the Wild recipe table we pull from IGN.
