Hudson River Watershed Drought History and Impacts

The talk shared background on the history of drought in the region, drought impacts on the ecosystem and impacts on surface/groundwater availability. To address "Early Warning" and drought resilience, it also provided information on NOAA's National Integrated Drought Information Systems efforts to work with a variety of partners on awareness, mitigation and adaptation to drought in the northeast United States.

This presentation was part of the virtual session of the conference, which focused on current regional information on climate change projections and impacts, including drought, flooding, stream channel erosion, and climate equity.
