QB64 is an updated clone of Qbasic. QB64 works on Windows, Mac and Linux. QB64 is a free download at www.QB64.org

If there is an IDE Error on QB64, run QB64 as an administrator.

It is suggested to use QB64 instead of Qbasic 1.1 unless there is some old software that needs to be slowed down or requires DOS. DOSBox can slow old software.

Qbasic 1.1 needs DOSBox (or similar software) to run on Windows 10. DOSBox works on Windows, Mac and Linux. DOSBox is a free download at www.dosbox.com

If there is an Warning! can't create error with installing Qbasic 1.1 in DOSBox, run DOSBox as an administrator.
