In 1993 This was a lifestyle snoop wasn’t accustomed to living, he was just a black kid from some of the roughest parts of LA county, the eastside of Long Beach. But seemingly overnight he had all this and much more thanks to his newly blossoming rap career. But by 1996 A young snoop dog was just one gavel away from losing it all due to a deadly situation that left a man dead. On August 25, 1993 police find…Philip Woldemariams blood body in a carport in Los Angeles California, he had been shot and police suspected left there to die, as he looked as though he bleed out from his wounds gunshot wounds. Due to witnesses around the scene, police were able to piece together what deadly situation played out and who was involved in Philip murder. While investigating detectives were able to identify Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. also known as snoop dog and his bodyguard as top suspects, but snoop, he was already on the run. Snoops lyrics quoted violence such as assaults and murders with fans oftens loving the storytelling and intense lyrics. a lot of them wanted to believe it was real but with no official justification would pass it off as just great music….. for example on deep cover when he said Hmmm, let me think about it" Turned my back and grabbed my gat And guess what I told him 'fore I shot him? but with snoop making headlines for crazy situations with the obvious big one of him allegedly catching a body. Those lines seemed to blur and his fans, his critics and people who could only get a glimpse of the gangster rap scene like politicians and judges started to perceive young snoops gangster lyrics as more then just art, for them, it was his reality. Were definitely going to address what went down that day and how everything played out with snoops trial, but were also going to address some other crazy shit I’m sure you didn’t know about snoop dog, his gang and his tenure as the biggest commercial rapper ever as we address the life so far of snoop dog. But before we can address all that we have to get into who snoop dog really is so we can get a better understanding of how he managed to be where he is today.
