After my recent videos on VMWare Fusion 11, I've had a few people ask if there was a simple way to convert a machine from using SATA disks to NVMe. Just changing the disk type to NVMe often results in a non-bootable machine.
There is a process I've been using for this that involves creating a new Virtual Machine from the hard disk of the original one, and changing the hard disk type from there.
In this video not only do I say 'at this point a lot', but I also show you that process. End result is a duplicate of the virtual machine but with an NVMe drive type.
Obviously backup your source machine first just in case.
