Fanuc macro - Trochoidal milling slot
The macro performs roughing of an open slot using the trochoidal milling strategy, whereby production times can be significantly reduced especially on high alloy materials such as duplex, heat resistant alloys and titanium alloys.
With this macro, it is possible to choose whether to carry out only the roughing or possibly also the contour finishing of the walls. The trochoidal milling path is fully parameterised using the parameters defined in the call, starting from the direction of orientation of the groove, up to the pitch of the trochoidal milling.
In addition, the macro can be used to define the direction of machining, whether down-cut or up-cut, and any depth of cut in Z in the event that the groove is not to be executed in a single cut. With a single block, the operator can generate the roughing and finishing path in less than a minute, i.e. the time to fill in the necessary parameters.
