Run Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB in under 60 seconds with docker
In this short video I show how to spin up postgres, mysql and a mongodb database instance in 60 seconds with Docker. Of course, the defaults are terrible but great for kicking the tires!
Here are the commands
docker run --name ms -p 3306:3306 -e MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD=password mysql
docker run --name pg --publish 5432:5432 -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=password postgres
docker run --name mdb --publish 27017:27017 mongo
docker exec -it pg psql -U root
docker exec -it ms mysql -u root -ppassword (no space between -p and password)
docker exec -it mdb mongo
