August gave California some crazy weather that set the west coast on fire for weeks, in the worst wildfire season we have ever endured. The lightning storm that blew through, and caused all that damage, reminded me I need to address a weather seal fix on the 122.
Just a week before the rains in August, my quarter glass seal dried to a crisp in the hot summer air, and allowed the glass to fall into the door a bit. It was time for some simple, but relatively expensive repairs. With an assessment of the rubber seals on the car (or any car) its clear how important they are for the long run.
Note: the fix came several months after I first filmed the opening, during which time the air quality was fluctuating from unhealthy, to moderate, to hazardous outside. The car sat for weeks at a time while I sat inside near our air filters. 2020 in a nutshell.
