Flash flooding in the Northeast leaves 1 dead, millions in damages
A 1-in-1000 year weather event dropped over 7.5 inches of rain over six hours in parts of New York, killing at least one person who was swept away by flash floods. More rain is expected in the Northeast, as states like Vermont declare a state of emergency over “extremely dangerous” flash flooding.
