Every Layer of Heaven Gets Explained in 16 Minutes. We check out the third and final part of Dante's Divine Comedy Dante's Paradiso (Paradise), the famous allegory where the poet Dante travels through heaven accompanied by Beatrice who symbolizes theology.

In the poem, Paradise is portrayed as a series of concentric spheres encircling the Earth, including the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Fixed Stars, the Primum Mobile, and ultimately, the Empyrean. Written in the early 14th century, it serves as an allegory for the soul's journey toward God.
