Phantom Liberty is here for everyone, and it's a great looking addition to the game! How much does path tracing with ray reconstruction enhance the visuals? Watch and decide for yourself! This is all shot in the new area, Dogtown.
Update 2.0 brought #cyberpunk2077 a new addition to the game in the way of DLSS 3.5 and ray reconstruction. It improves visuals and also increases the frame rate! This is unfortunately only availble with overdrive, or path tracing enabled, even though I thought it was available to all RTX cards. There are issues with ghosting when moving quickly at lower resolutions, even at 4k DLSS quality this can be an issue, but at that high of resolution the trade off in visual quality is worth the ghosting in some situations.
This update was to prepare you for #phantomliberty a new expansion that takes place in Dogtown. It's an entirely new area in night city with a new story to go along with it. It has some of the best face capture I've seen in a game, and by far the best lighting.
