Expert Is Hell. Hardest Fights So Far - Wartales 1.0 Expert - D&D in Drombach - Let's Play #21
Good news: we made it up the mountain. Bad news: everyone wants to kill us. And Wartales has a very different idea of what "easy" is than I do. If there is a benefit, it's that I have the ability to think about what I'm doing between turns. That gives plenty of time to panic instead of just clicking and dying. That said, don't be fooled by the length of the episode. I would have cut some time if I could have, but it didn't feel appropriate to break this up into two episodes even though that would have been plenty justified.
Wartales has DNA from a lot of other games, including Battle Brothers, Kenshi, and Mount and Blade. It's well worth the price right now and I'm excited to see where this game goes towards release. Intimated as hell, yes. But excited.
