I never got much into the animal husbandry aspects of Wartales, so nothing like the 1.0 release and a slew of balance changes to dive on in. Spoiler alert: in this episode our band of Deserters is getting a puppy! How much is that doggo in the window? Well, it turns out that capturing beasts doesn't take much more than knocking down their health bar and getting the rope. Life advice: do not try this at home. Especially in the mountains. Especially when there's a pack bearing down on you. Please. But hey! Free puppy!

Wartales has DNA from a lot of other games, including Battle Brothers, Kenshi, and Mount and Blade. It's well worth the price right now and I'm excited to see where this game goes towards release. Intimated as hell, yes. But excited.
