This poor dog rescued by Hope for Strays:
"Meet Layla. Two weeks ago, They were surprised when one day they found Layla whimpering and crying in SO MUCH PAIN & soon they discovered the huge slice of wound on her neck. It was excessively bleeding due to the deep cut.
It goes to show someone hacked Layla!!! How can someone do this to a dog??? there are no witnessess to the said incident too.
This dog has been suffering from hemorrhage. She has lost so much blood - not to mention the infection that can accumulate from the open wound.
In this case, antibiotics, pain reliever meds & supplements were given to Layla for her to recover.
Her wound is still very prone to infection that's why constant attention is needed too.
The vet also said her immune system needs to get stronger since she's also suffering from malnutrition. Good thing, her appetite is good despite the pain she has been suffering with.
And today after two weeks for treatment: Her neck wound is now slowly healed with the help of the meds and also her owner's TLC. Can't wait for her to have a full recovery soon. Thank you so much to all you supported Layla! We saved another life again."
