I recently sat down with award-winning Malaysian filmmaker Edmund Yeo, director of the upcoming film Moonlight Shadow. We talked about his motivations behind filmmaking, his experiences in and out of Malaysia, the common themes presented in his films, and his filmmaking process. Enjoy!
Edmund Yeo is a Malaysian film writer/director/producer. His award-winning films include short films like Kingyo, Inhalation, and Last Fragments of Winter; and full-length features like Aqerat and River of Exploding Durians. His list of accolades involve awards from the Venice Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, and Busan International Film Festival.
