How to use Simpler in Ableton Live - Tutorial for beginners
In this video, I will teach you how to use Simpler plugin in Ableton Live. Simpler is a default Ableton plugin that is a simplified version of Sampler, which is only available in Live Suite. It allows you to load samples and turn them into an instrument. To make it sound like a real instrument, make sure to adjust the attack, decay, sustain release and set the sample to warp.
Because my version of Ableton Live, which is Intro, does not have any other plugin that works like a sampler, the Simpler plugin can be used for turning samples into instruments.
You can also loop a specific part of a sample, or slice it in pieces, by selecting the third option. It is a perfect option for drum loops if you need to create your own drum rack. There is just one more thing that is not present in the video, and that's recording your own samples on an audio track and dragging them in the bottom part. It automatically generates a new track that will use Simpler as a plugin reference and will be playable as a virtual instrument.
