SECTION 35 is influenced by the contrast between the past and present. Justin challenges himself to create pieces and products that honour how the past shapes the present. This collection interprets elements of Justin’s language and culture through the patterns and colours of his ancestor’s regalia, the imagery of his people and the land they come from. Justin looks to childhood memories, like playing sports as a youth, which provided him with the opportunity to see beyond the invisible Indian Reserve boundaries.
