My Tesla is a Fast Car. But it could go faster! So I bought the Acceleration Boost upgrade...
Two year into my Tesla Model Y journey, I decided to take the Brave Pill. 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds just isn't quick enough for a family car. Apparently.
Happily Tesla have a solution! With the Long Range versions of the Model 3 and Model Y you can pay for the "Acceleration Boost". This unlocks the full power - all 507hp - of my car's motors. It is what I pay such high insurance costs for.
In this video I test just how fast this car is. Firstly on "Chill" mode which dials down the available power significantly. Then in "Standard". Which unlocks most - but not all - of the power. And finally "Sport". Which is full beans.
