In this interview I talk with USA Parylmpian Track & field Discus Throw Jessica Heims. She talks about her college time playing for University of Northern Iowa competing in throws from 2017-2021. She talks about what it was like to go to the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016 before she went to college and compete for Team USA as a highschool athlete. She started in track and field at age 10, following in her sister’s footsteps. She competed in World Championship in 2015 in disc throw and 400-meter. She talks about the feeling like when she got announced she made the Paralympic team to go to Rio for her first time and going to Tokyo in here second Paralympic Games in 2021. She talks about how it was special geting to compete in the Paralympic Games and get to represent Team USA on a big stage at the Paralympic Games. She covers what it means to be a Paralympian.
