Why are our 'Home Burgers' never very good?
They taste like what they are... dense, dry, blocks of cr@ppy mince meat.
Learn the secrets to making burgers at home, as good as ANY restaurant or chain that you can think of!
I mean it!!

By all means make this recipe your own, add Somerset Mature Cheddar if you like. Buy fancy lettuce and add truffles if you want... but, when you make this the first time, try and stick to my recipe. Get to know what this is and what it tastes like, before you add or change things! Why? I love proper authentic mature cheddar cheese, but I now know I don't like it in my burgers. If I made this recipe for the first time and added Mature cheddar, I may not like the burger and think that it's a bad recipe. Also, I'm no fan of iceberg lettuce, but prefer it to any others in a burger! Little things matter!
So, make this recipe, compare it to Five Mates, McDougals and Burger Queen, you'll see just how good this is, then add your truffles, your mature cheese, your fried snails or whatever!
