How to Unlock and Start SWTOR Legacy of the Sith Story

The Legacy of the Sith expansion came with two different new storylines to Republic and Empire supporters. Both have some differences in terms of goals and missions, but the locations you visit and explore are the same.
To access this content you need to cover the following requirements:
Be an active subscriber or have been a subscriber for at least a month between today and the release date of Legacy of the Sith, which is February 15, 2022.
Have the Onslaught storyline completed
Be level 75-80 (recommended). There is no actual hard coded level requirement.
There is no direct way to play straight from the beginning of Legacy of the Sith. The closest point you can drop your character directly, without playing from the beginning at level 1, is to create a level 70 character on the character creation screen, provided you have the character token required for that.
This will drop you right at the beginning of the Ossus story line, which serves as the opening act of the Onslaught expansions story arc. It all ends with the mission Whispers of the Force. After that, you are finally ready to start Legacy of the Sith!
Go to your Personal Starship and check the Mission Console for a new mission. You should see the starter mission for your faction under the tag “Legacy of the Sith”. For Republic players, it’s called “Dead in the Water”. For Empire followers, it's “Retaliation”.
