Police Try THIS All the Time!
Police try to get away with pushing warrants all the time. For example, I have seen a case where cops were looking for a motorcycle, but they came across a 🔫 safe in their search, so they tried to open it. It had nothing to do with the warrant, and owning a safe is not a crime!
NEVER consent to a search outside of the limits of a warrant. You are just signing away your 4th Amendment right. Also, look at your state's constitution and see if you have additional protections outside of your US Constitutional rights.
