Senator Michelle Benson, R-Ham Lake, and Representative Kristen Robbins, R-Maple Grove, introduce legislation that would ban pelvic exams without the patient's consent, unless it is medically necessary and the patient is unable to consent. The legislation results from a Forbes article about teaching hospitals allowing students to conduct pelvic exams on women under anesthesia.
