Full Boudoir Shoot with Lighting and Posing Direction and Sample Images, Pt. 3 of 5
With this look, we revisited the first fake window to take advantage of capturing some silhouettes with the sheer blouse. Then we went to the Vintage Vanity set to get some elegant shots there using the mirror and playing with some selective focus to create some awesome implied nudity looks with a little mystery.
I wanted to document my entire process from start to finish, including hair and makeup, and show the sample images throughout the shoot. Huge thanks to Rachel for letting me document this process. Rachel, just like most of my clients, had never had a professional boudoir shoot before. I wanted to show in this video how I work with my clients - how I direct posing, how I communicate, how I set up lighting, and how my general workflow goes throughout the day. In a typical shoot, we go through about 5 looks, sometimes more and sometimes less. A typical shoot involves hair and makeup (about 1.5 - 2 hours), then we go over wardrobe choices. I also have wardrobe items available to my clients. Then we begin shooting. Shooting usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. After the shoot, we'll sit and review the pictures together and the client will choose their pictures and decide on a picture package for an album. After the shoot,I design the album and send a proof to the client to review of the layout and order the album. The album usually takes about 2 weeks to arrive.
I love every part of my job. I love working hard to create positivity and images that people love and make them feel empowered and love their body.
Every picture in this video is unedited. I usually do very little editing to my clients because I love showing them that they are perfect just the way they are. Most of my editing is cropping and background cleanup.
